Manchester City Football Club is an English Premier League football club who play at the City of Manchester Stadium.
The first known competitive fixture was played in November 1880, when the side was known as St. Mark's (West Gorton), they then became Ardwick Association Football Club in 1887 before changing their name to Manchester City Football Club in 1894. The club's most successful period was in the late 1960s and early 1970s when they won the League Championship, the FA Cup, the League Cup and European Cup Winners' Cup under the management team of Joe Mercer and Malcolm Allison and with players including Colin Bell, Mike Summerbee and Francis Lee.
Since winning the League Cup in 1976, the club has failed to win any major honours. The club's decline led to relegation twice in three years in the 1990s, spending the 1998–99 season in the third tier of English football. The club has since regained top flight status, the level at which they have spent the majority of their history.

CHINA

The Chinese civilization is an ancient civilization located in a cultural region. Depending on perspective, China is a national or multinational entity extending over a large area in East Asia.
In 1949, when major combat ended in the Chinese Civil War, two political entities emerged having the term "China" in their names:

• The People's Republic of China (PRC), established in 1949, commonly known as China, has control over mainland China and the largely self-governing territories of Hong Kong (since 1997) and Macau (since 1999).
• The Republic of China (ROC), established on the mainland in 1911, nowadays commonly known as Taiwan, has control over the islands of Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu after losing control of the mainland in 1949.

RUTAN BINTANG LIMA

Jakarta - Dirjen Lembaga Pemasyarakatan (Lapas) harus bertanggungjawab atas temuan adanya fasilitas rutan 'bintang lima' untuk Arthalyta Suryani alias Ayin yang terungkap saat Satgas Pemberantasan Mafia Hukum melakukan inspeksi mendadak (sidak) ke Rutan Pondok Bambu.

"Dirjen Lapas yang bertanggungjawab atas perlakuan istimewa terhadap Ayin," kata Mantan Jaksa Agung Muda Intelijen (Jamintel) Kejaksaan Agung, Mayjen (Purn) Syamsu Djalal di Jakarta, Senin (11/01).

Sebelumnya, Satgas Pemberantasan Mafia Hukum melakukan sidak ke Rutan Khusus Wanita Kelas II Pondok Bambu, Jakarta Timur dan menemukan adanya perlakuan istimewa terhadap sejumlah narapidana diantaranya terhadap Ayin.

Ayin terjerat dalam kasus suap terhadap Jaksa Urip Tri Gunawan senilai 660 ribu dollar AS terkait kasus Bantuan Likuiditas Bank Indonesia (BLBI).

Mantan Danpuspom TNI itu menegaskan siapapun yang terlibat dalam pemberian kemudahan fasilitas kepada sejumlah narapidana itu, harus dicopot.

"Tentunya harus ada yang dikorbankan," katanya.

Ketika ditanya apakah Menteri Hukum dan HAM (Menkumham) yang baru harus bertanggungjawab, ia menyatakan Menkumham yang baru tidak tahu menahu soal itu karena baru menjabat.

Dia juga memuji kinerja satgas yang baru terbentuk langsung melakukan gebrakan dengan menemukan temuan tersebut.

"Itu sangat bagus (satgas), namun yang harus diingat bagaimana tindaklanjutnya dari hasil temuan itu karena tugas satgas hanya untuk survey penyelidikan dan pemberitahuan adanya mafia hukum," katanya.

Di bagian lain, ia menyatakan temuan adanya perlakuan khusus terhadap Ayin itu, bukanlah barang yang baru.

"Praktik perlakuan khusus itu sudah lama ada, buktinya bandar narkoba masih bisa mengendalikan peredaran narkoba dari sel bahkan mendirikan pabrik narkoba. Apalagi ini seorang Ayin," katanya.

Ia menyatakan sebenarnya perlakuan khusus terhadap narapidana berduit itu banyak.

Karena itu, ia mengingatkan Menkumham atau Dirjen Pemasyarakatan agar menangani temuan itu, jangan hanya setengah-setengah.

"Jangan sampai masuk telinga kiri ke luar telinga kanan atau tidak ada kelanjutannya," katanya.

"Dari keterangan mantan narapidana menyebutkan sebenarnya yang harus dibina itu bukan hanya narapidanya tapi sipirnya juga yang harus dibina," katanya.(ant/waa)

TIMNAS TOGO DITEMBAKI DI ANGOLA

Sebuah bus yang ditumpangi tim nasional Togo diserang sekelompok bersenjata di Cabinda, Angola, Jumat, 8 Januari 2010. Pengemudi bus tewas dan beberapa penumpang terluka termasuk  beberapa pemain Togo.
